HEllO!!! at last, managed to log in liao...
k this is my reflection:
the trip was very fun for me. i have learnt so many things from this trip. i have learnt new nursery rhymes!!! lol. i have learnt that everyone has something special in them regardless they are less fortunate or highly capable. a very good example can be the Kravan teacher in the picture. i was really amazed when i saw him doing that. the kids there also have taught me things. they have brought me out of the modern way of living to the olden times (kampong days), when people play the traditional games. i was really engrossed in the marble game and chapteh. the kids there have really taught me lots of things and i am really missing them. haha.
i have contributed by teaching the kids basic english and nursery rhymes. it is really fun doing those stuff with them. my childhood memories came to me. i even lost my voice in the process of teaching. this shows how i have enjoyed teaching them. the 'holiday song' and 'ok, ok alright' are still stuck in my head. haha.
i helped to mix the cement and some other construction. it is really hard. i am not going to make fun of banglahs ever again. at least the banglahs here have machines to help them. but in cambodia, everything is done manually. it is really nice of the kids to help us in between their break times. they have also taught me the ways of handling the tools.
i have also learnt the value of a drop of water in cambodia. the people there do not get clean like we do here. we easily get clean water in our taps. however, in cambodia the water is not really purified and clean. the beggars there would not mind getting our left over mineral water rather than getting money.
the life for the people in cambodia is not really simple. from the number of HIV cases, we can know how bad is the state living. we should really appreciate whatever we have for now and stop complaining. is the matter of what you need and not what you want.
i have got lots of new friends in this trip!!!! fairuz, aisyah, yuz, wahida, alfred, wenzheng, atassha, marvin and many other guyz have made my trip fun and enjoyable. thanks guyz!!!!Labels: Satish
