Well, this photo is actually just the cambodian kids who were at the school...
And basically, these photos really shows how happy the kids are even though their school is run down. For many they are"poor things" but in their own eyes, they are already happy with what they already have. I think this OCIP trip is actually a reflection of how un appreciative we are to the things around us. So many times, we complain about not having something. We are so attracted to material wealth that we forget that by having a roof above our heads we are already alot more wealthy then 90% of the world...These kids were happy even while playing with a string made of rubber bands.
Of course most importantly, the trip was a real eye opener. We always see on the TV of the poor kids in Africa however seeing the children first hand was a totally different story.
This trip also quite independent in some ways...
Alot of deceisions was made my us instead of the students so when it came to lessons and stuff...
most of it was prepared a few days before, due to changes in the expected schedule...
AND of course choosing a place to eat also became a huge decesion (too many restruants)
I am really glad to have been on this trip meeting new people and new culture...
Hope we can go bac next yearto see the kids in Kravan...
But till then....BYE BYE
