The experience of being as one MISSION OPIC and the cambodia trip itself is something that i would never ever forget (unless i loss my memory. heh) and im sure the rest of the other 29 member of mission opic would feel the same way. Being together as a team, helping and encouraging one another allow us to reach our mission that is to help the not-so-fortunate people in cambodia. Thus, even though there's still some problems while carrying out our work, like things dont go as we plan, we manage to solve it and make do with whatever material we have and make the best of it.
from this trip, i also learn not to take things for granted. like we should be thankful we are in a very safe country and not like complaint like we always do.(heh) In cambodia, there's still like hundredssssss of LAND MINE in their country which will do harm to them like permanently make them limbs-less.
there are also other things that make me realise that we should not take things for granted. like for example, we should be thankful we have such dedicated teachers in Innova and a school where we could learn.
unlike them, they really want to learn as we can see when we taught them during their classes, but they lack material like proper table and chairs, books, papers and writing materials.
so we shoud really appreciate what we have and not complaint!
after teaching them it feel so good to know that they have learn as much as possible from us.
all the construction work that we have done like painting, repairing table and chairs, building wells, concrete the floor and hard court give us satisfaction as we know all of what we have done will benefit them especially their safety.
they would have a more safer environment to learn.
and i feel happy for them!
after much work done, we had FUN!
we went to like places like the Angkor Wat (soo cool!!) and during dinner or when we got free time, we had fun.
we got to see some things that we could not see in singapore.
and the most funnest of all is the SHOPPING!!! i love the shopping there. like there's alot of things to choose from and we can bargain and see who's the bargaining queen!
one thing which i could never forget!
this trip also gave me the opportunity to know more friends!
i know more people like Jill, Wahida, Sinh Wee, Satish, Sue, Attasha, Yus and alot more other people!!
getting to know them better is one thing that i really appreciate as they are the ones who fill me up with joy during the trip and even after the trip.
everything was fine, except that i was home sick on day 3 and 4 and really want to go home and my camera spoilt on day 3 and my handphone is not working. other than that I LOVE THE CAMBODIA TRIP!!!
lastly, i would like to thank the teachers who took care of us and have help us in anyway they can!
